Youth Soccer

The Lindenwoods soccer program is the Recreational Soccer Program provided by the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) through the Winnipeg South End United Soccer Club (WSEU).  It is available to all youth from ages 9 to 18 who live in the Lindenwoods area.  The program focuses on physical activity, building soccer skills and having fun!  We offer both an indoor and outdoor soccer program. There is also a mini-soccer program for children from the age  of 4 to 8 years. See below for  details.

Indoor Program

Runs from October to April and is played in indoor facilities throughout the city.  In general, most games are played on weekends with a few games during the week. Schedules and fees will be determined closer to the start of the season.

Cost : $390.00

2017/18 Indoor Program   Registration

REGISTRATION IS ONLINE ONLY with payments taken online (using Paypal) or in person at the Community Centre

Youth Outdoor Soccer  (Closed until Spring 2018)

  Cost: U9 to 12 : $230.00

          U13 to 18 : $240.00

Spring Youth Soccer runs from May to June with ages 12 and up continuing in September for playoffs.  Schedules and fees are determined closer to the start of the season, but in general, odd ages (9,11,13,15, 17) play on Tuesdays and Thursdays and even ages (10,12,14,16,18) play Mondays and Wednesdays. Games may also be played on weekends as well.

The age group a child plays in is determined by their year of birth and not necessarily their current age. For example, a child born in 2006 will play in the U10 age category even if they haven't yet turned 10.

Teams are based on the number of registered players.  If numbers warrant, and we have enough volunteers, then two or more teams will be formed. If the numbers are such that there are too many players to be placed on one team, or there are no volunteers to coach a team, then players will have to be transferred to the next community club that requires players.  The focus is to ensure that ALL the kids get to play soccer and this often involves transferring players in or out of our community centre in order for this to happen.

Volunteers for coaching, and managing are always needed.  Please consider coaching your kids' team.
