Linden Woods is a 900 acre, fully serviced residential development in the southwest quadrant of the City of Winnipeg, bordered by Wilkes Avenue, Waverley Street, Kenaston Boulevard, and McGillivray Boulevard. The community is currently home to approximately 9,000 people living in approximately 3,500 households.
There are 39 acres of lakes in the community, along with 63 acres of parks that feature pagodas, fountains, lookouts, pedestrian bridges, and 3 kilometres of paved trails. Also within the community are two elementary/junior high schools (one of which includes French Immersion), a recreational centre, two outdoor rinks, a double tennis court, a half-size basketball court, several soccer pitches and baseball diamonds, a few children's play structures, and a new spray park (2007).
The community is less than a half hour drive from downtown, the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg, Red River Community College, the Pan Am Pool, the Winnipeg Airport, as well as many major shopping facilities.
