LINDEN WOODS COMMUNITY CENTRE |
The mobile ski library is coming back to Lindenwoods CC / Kleysen Park.
Due to popular demand, we'll be here all weekend.
Come out and play in the snow!
As always, you can borrow skis for free and try out a groomed trail. This is a great event for any level of skier, including newbies, families with small children or anyone who just wants to try it. Or try snowshoes or a kicksled. Some adaptive equipment available too including wheel blades and sit skis.
Click on the links below for more info.
Please pick the time(s) that work best for you and your friends and RSVP!
Saturday Early Afternoon 12:30 Start
Saturday Late Afternoon 2:30 Start

OUTDOOR RINKS - - - - - - - - - - - EXPAND using the '+' >>
*** OUTDOOR RINKS ARE OPEN - LWCC and canteen will be open.
Our ice is not as even as it will be, once we get training on new Zamboni. Follow us on Instagram for status updates. Updated DEC 26th/2022
*************************************************************
Hours of operation - Tuesday (27th) to Friday (30th)
LWCC building & warming area: 9am - 10pm
Canteen: 9am - 6pm
Rinks: Open till 9pm daily (Aside from ice maintenance activity)
YOU MAY WANT TO BE IN-THE-KNOW....
- The south rink (directly behind the gym) is allocated for skating only – no sticks, pucks, or nets.
- The north rink (behind the viewing/skate change area) is for recreational or pick-up hockey. In other words, this is where the sticks, pucks, and nets go. At this time, neither rink is made available for private functions, team practices, or league play.
- In the interests of public safety, and to allow the ice maker to work more efficiently, no one is allowed on the rink when equipment (ice surfacer, snowblowers, edgers) is in use on any part of the rink. If the equipment is being used at one end of the rink, the other end is not available for use.
- Chairs are not to be taken outside to be used as skating aids. It is not safe, and the chairs can damage the ice unnecessarily.
- We follow the City of Winnipeg’s recommendations for rink closures during extreme cold temperatures. The rinks are closed when it is -30C or colder or -35C with wind chill. We reference https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/mb-38_metric_e.html to determine the temperatures.
