Recreational Youth Soccer Program General Information (ages U9 - U18)
LWCC's Youth Soccer program is a recreational program provided by the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA). This program is coordinated with all the community centres in the south-west area of Winnipeg. The program focuses on physical activity, building soccer skills and having fun! There is an OUTDOOR PROGRAM for the months of May/June/July and INDOOR PROGRAM for the months of October thru March.
Our playing format reflects our goal of creating a fun program that maximizes the time each youth spends touching the ball. Our matches follow the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) Recreation League Rules. For more information on our rules and guidelines for play please see their website at WYSA Rules and Regulations.
Teams are created in cooperation with the other community centres in the WYSA league. If we have too many players OR if we don't have enough players to make a team, OR we do not have a volunteer coach for the team, then players may be hosted by a neighboring community club. Our goal is to ensure ALL kids get to play soccer. We do our best to keep all LWCC kids in the age group together, regardless of where the team is hosted. Friend requests will be honored when possible. Please indicate at the time of registration.
Game schedule will be available 2 weeks before the season start. Coaches will schedule practices based on team and field availability.
