LWCC Spring Girls Basketball Program for Experienced Players
This is an athlete development basketball program for girls' ages 9-12 who are experienced players. This program will focus on skill development and game play. Two sessions weekly will be held every Wednesday from 5:45-7:45pm and every Sunday 5:30-7:30pm. One session weekly will focus on skill development and game concepts. The second session will focus on development and will allow players to scrimmage, putting all they've learned into practice in an inter-squad scrimmage. This program is not for beginners as we will be working on some more advanced concepts.

WMBA
LWCC's Basketball program is provided through the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA). Registration for the Spring season is open. All registrations must be completed online through the centralized registration system. For more information about basketball, visit the WMBA website at www.wmba.ca or contact info@wmba.ca. Please note that only Linden Woods residents may register through LWCC. Please scroll down for information on the programs for your child's age.

JR NBA (boys and girls, ages 5 to 7)
This program introduces children to basketball through one 45-minute weekly practice that takes place at LWCC, with no additional games. All equipment is provided. This program is coached by volunteers and coaches are always needed for this program. Please consider volunteering to help your child's team.
There are three sessions throughout the year: October to December, January to March, and April to June (12 weeks per session).
Cost: $140 per child, per session

Community Club basketball is the WMBA's main program. There are no tryouts for community club basketball, and the number of teams in the community will be based on the number of registrants.
Players practice one time a week on a weeknight, with one to two additional games per week on the weekend. Games for teams ages 12 and under are usually run on Saturdays, and games for teams ages 13 and older run on Sundays. This program is city-wide, so teams will compete against other teams from around the city. LWCC teams play in the South West Winnipeg district.
