* - Washroom / Change Area access is scheduled the same hours as rinks (unless otherwise indicated) but .....
POV - COVID protocol dictates if you are inside, you are not lingering, your mask is on and anyone 12 yrs+ has showed PoV (Proof of Vax)
2C - Too cold (-30) or with windchill (-35 or below) Govt of Can-Weather // Severe cold can cause frostbite in minutes.
2W - Too warm of a stretch that has made ice too soft! At this stage, it is too warm to flood - skating will reduce life of ice surface.
2MS - Too much snow - hard to keep ahead of the snowfall
O/D Change area - We've not been successful in acquiring bales and getting them delivered (fall drought and high demand). Now we've got so much real estate filled with snow piles, we don't have room to put them anyway. Sadly, bales seem to be a no-go this year!

Additional Information:
The community centre availability (change area/washrooms) are dependent on health authority and manpower.
The ice surface /condition is dependent on manpower, equipment and weather.
Our ice-makers will do their best to ensure that snow is cleared, gouges are filled, flood water is applied often, etc.
Rinks may close for short durations, when winter is retreating. Once it starts to warm up, flooding is not an option, so we may close the rinks in an attempt to maintain the integrity, or lengthen the life of the ice surface.
Feel free to use the "Contact the centre" form at the bottom of the page, to provide insight on what information might be helpful for you, if it hasn't been hinted at here...!
Disclaimer 1) - This chart will continue to change based on input and comments
Disclaimer 2) - Our apologies for any inconveniences, if events have happened, and the chart/website have not been updated. All folks working on the rink, the status, the updating - have every intention of keeping you informed. Feel free to call the office to get clarification or ask to get this information updated. We want to provide the best experience possible. :)

Visit WinterPeg.Org to Access Winter Fun Near You
Welcome to the WinterPeg Project, an effort led by the Winnipeg Trails Association to help get YOU outside this winter. In response to the COVID19 pandemic, WinterPeg.org was established to allow everyone the opportunity to get out during the Winter. It functions as a map of trails for cross-country skiing, hiking, and skating and their conditions for members of the Winnipeg community to utilize when getting outside. Each city neighbourhood has their own loop, however, WinterPeg is continuously expanding and adding on through volunteer created trails to ensure you’re able to make the most of your winter season. The trails are maintained and groomed by staff, with the help of volunteers, all supported by the City of Winnipeg’s Wellness Fund.
WinterPeg is bringing ski trails to areas of the city that have never had them before! Volunteers are always needed to both maintain the trails and to help build snow sculptures at our trailheads, an activity for all ages. Visit our website WinterPeg.org for information on all trail locations, conditions, and grooming, or to sign up to volunteer. We hope to see you out there!
Did you know? (From Winterpeg.org website) Lots of organizations in Winnipeg maintain ski trails. For information on big established ski trails both inside and outside Winnipeg, visit the CCSAM website where an active community of skiers provide regular updates. CCSAM is also responsible for the Winsdor Park Nordic centre with top notch conditions and night skiing that is well worth the fee. If you enjoy the trails at Wildwood, be sure to read up on how they get made and support their work. Assiniboine Park Conservancy operates the trails in Assiniboine park and they are groomed by Nordic X adventures. Learn more about their Jackrabbits program for kids. Programming has been affected by COVID 19 restrictions, but go here for the latest updates. Riverview CC runs a Jackrabbits program and maintains nearby ski trails. Bourkevale CC sets a fantastic track on the Assiniboine. Many of Winnipeg’s school divisions also organize small groomed loops which will be added to this map as they become available. The Forks often sets track along the River Trail, with plenty available this year. Of course, Winnipeg Trails has added more than 30 new trails with the help of the City of Winnipeg so that all of Winnipeg can try skiing!

Indoor Youth Soccer Registration is now OPEN - Fall 2021
The registration link below will direct you to a centralized online registration site that was prepared by WSEU for the Community Centres.
https://msa-southendunited.goalline.ca/register.php?reg_form_id=39924
Please note registration is a two-step process:
Step 1 - MSA Fee ($24)
Step 2 - Recreational Fee ($415)
The Manitoba Soccer Association collects a $24 fee for every youth (U9-U18) player in the Province on behalf of the CSA, MSA and Sport Manitoba. This fee must be paid to the MSA directly. Total registration fee for U9-U18 is $439.
After completing Step 1 of the registration process via the link below, you will be prompted to click a link to proceed to Step 2. Both steps must be completed for your child(ren) to be registered properly.
When you register, please indicate your willingness to serve as a Coach or Assistant Coach with your child's team. If you've coached before and plan to do so again, thank you! If you haven't coached before, we encourage you to consider doing so. We have workshops and resources available to help you get started and become a confident and capable coach. To learn more about coaching at your child's age level (e.g. requirements, commitment, etc.) please reach out to Tracey Wright at LWCC.youthsoccer@shaw.ca or the WSEU Office at officemanager@wseu.ca
If you have special request, such as being placed on a team with a friend, please be sure to indicate this on your registration form. We cannot guarantee but will try to accommodate your requests.
Please read and follow the instructions provided on the registration site carefully. Contact the WSEU Office Manager at (204) 452-8020 or officemanager@wseu.ca if you encounter any issues with the online registration site.
The soccer season is expected to start October 29. After registration closes and we form teams, you will receive schedule information from your coach.
